HAD THIS JUST OVER A WEEK- DID NOT HAVE THE PROBLEMS WITH DELIVERY OTHER REVIEWER HAD,MINE WENT VERY SMOOTHLY, AND SO FAR SO GOOD- LOOKS WISE ONE OF THE HOTTEST AVAILABLE!-I WAS TORN BETWEEN THIS AND THE RED, BUT DECIDED I PREFERED THE BLOCK COLOUR FINISH ON THE BLACK AS OPPOSED TO THE LINED FINISH ON THE RED,VERY SMART AND RETRO LOOKING.THE MICROWAVE IS EASY TO USE, BUT THE DOOR MUST BE SHUT USING THE HANDLE(WHICH TO BE HONEST IS THE WAY TO SHUT THE DOOR JUST TO KEEP IT IN TIP TOP ORDER)-IF YOU JUST SWING/PUSH IT IN TO PLACE NOT USING THE HANDLE THE MICROWAVE WILL NOT OPERATE,-YOU CAN HEAR A TINY TINY LITTLE CLICK WHEN YOU SHUT THE DOOR WITH THE HANDLE AND THEN EVERY THINGS GO -THIS IS THE CHILD LOCK FEATURE AND I THINK A GOOD IDEA,- HAS ALSO SNAPPED MY OLD HABIT IN THE BUD OF SWINGING(-GENTLY THOUGH!) THE DOOR SHUT ON MY PREVIOUS MODEL WHICH DID NOT HAVE SUCH A PROMINENT HANDLE DESIGN.MY LAST MICROWAVE WAS A £45 LG MODEL WHICH LASTED 5 AND A HALF YEARS,WHICH I REPLACED ONLY BECAUSE THE PAINT UNDERNEATH THE TURNTABLE WAS COMING OF THE METAL.BOTH MICROWAVES ARE 800W BUT FOR SOME REASON MY POTATOES NEED A FEW EXTRA MINUTES IN THIS ONE THAN MY OLD ONE?, BUT DEFINATELY HEATS/COOKS THE FOOD -HAVE,NT USED DE-FROST FEATURE YET WILL UPDATE LATER -LOVE THE DIAL,BUTTONS VERY EASY TO USE.WE ARE A FAMILY OF 3/4 AND FIND THIS BASIC SIZE/FUNCTION MODEL FITS ALL OUR DAILY HEATING/COOKING NEEDS SO FAR.WOULD RECOMEND.
Like many others, I chose this microwave because it looked pretty good. I ignored the reviews warning of problems- to my cost. The microwave arrived just before Christmas, I used it maybe three times to reheat drinks and make porridge with no problem, the 4th time the drink was stone cold. I assumed I had pressed the wrong button, tried again and it heated fine. I had this problem of the machine not heating anything on and off for a week or so, until it stopped heating altogether.
Have had to phone Amazon for it to be collected and will wait for a refund as I don't want the same model again.Will pay more attention to the reviews in future.
